The Youth Olympic Games are aimed at bringing together talented young athletes aged from 15 to 18 from around the world. The most recent Summer YOG in Buenos Aires in 2018 featured 4,000 athletes and achieved gender equality for the first time. The latest Winter YOG took place in Lausanne in 2020 and featured 1,872 athletes.

TOKYO (July 23, 2021) – A balance of youth and experience combine to form the U.S. Olympic beach volleyball team for the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. Four pairs – two women’s, two men’s – will represent the U.S. at the beach volleyball event taking place at Shiokaze Park. Four of the eight beach athletes have prior Olympic experience, and Phil Dalhausser and Jake Gibb will each make their fourth appearance.
